Each trader signs in and stores their own venue API keys (encrypted). No shared .env required for end users.
How BYOK works
- You create an Apex account (email + password).
- Paste your stocks API and/or crypto exchange keys — never someone else’s.
- Keys are encrypted at rest with the server secret.
- Click Activate so this desk session routes orders with your keys.
- Card funding credits the desk wallet; your connected venues fill markets.
Stocks broker API
Your equity broker’s REST base URL + key/secret (live or paper). Env slot: stocks connector.
Crypto exchange API
Your exchange id + keys (spot). Use the id your connector library expects.
DEX wallet (optional)
Private key stays encrypted for your user only. Execution still requires operator policy.
